We publish letters to the editor here, and in the printed Mercury.

The Mercury welcomes letters from readers on all topics, especially local issues, and publishes almost all of them. Shorter is generally better. Writers, even those who email their letters to us, must include a phone number for verification, as well as their names and postal addresses for publication. All letters are subject to confirmation and to editing for libel, pesonal attacks and length.

Feel free to respond to letters and editorials online here as part of a discussion at the end of the article itself, or you can send a letter to the editor (for publication in the paper) via letters@themercury.com.
