Freeman struggles; Cartwright shines

Tampa Bay Buccaneers' and former Kansas State quarterback Josh Freeman had his worst game as NFL starter on Sunday as he completed 17-of-33 passes for 126 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions.

Freeman did rush twice for 30 yards, but the Bucs fell to the undefeated New Orleans Saints 38-7.

Though the San Diego Chargers had no problem with the Denver Broncos, running back Darren Sproles didn't fare as well. Sproles ran for 26 yards on nine carries —includng a fumble — and caught on pass for seven yards.

The Green Bay Packers' Jordy Nelson had a nice outing against the San Francisco 49ers as he caught three passes for 21 yards, including seven-yard touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers.

In Arlington, the Washington Redskins' Rock Cartwright had his best game of the season as he rushed for 67 yards on 13 carries — including a long of 34 yards.

Cartwright also caught seven passes for 73 yards in the 7-6 loss to Dallas.

In the same game, the Cowboys' Terence Newman registered just one tackle.

Linebacker Ben Leber had two tackles in the Minnesota Vikings' 35-9 rout of the Seattle Seahawks.

Jon McGraw had eight tackles in the Kansas City Chiefs' 27-24 overtime win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
