Kansas State will take to to the road tonight when the Wildcats face Texas A&M.

Beginning at 6:30 p.m., it's No. 17 K-State's first Big 12 road test after hosting Nebraska and Colorado last week.

K-State (12-2) comes into the match after sweeping the Buffs on Saturday, while the Aggies defeated Oklahoma in five sets to win their last match.

Tonight's match however will pit two of the more experienced teams in the conference against each other.

K-State has five seniors on the team while A&M returns five starters from last year's squad and replaces one plus its libero. The Aggies have struggled on the road themselves, but are undefeated at home playing in G. Rollie White Coliseum.

The last time these two teams met K-State edged out the win in five sets in Manhattan. The two teams have a history of playing long matches — 15 of their 25 matches have been four or more sets.

Tonight's match will be broadcast on 1350 KMAN with KMAN's Rob Voelker with color commentary.

Fritz reprimanded

The Big 12 Conference announced a public reprimand of Kansas State head coach Suzie Fritz for comments following the Wildcats home loss to Nebraska last Wednesday at Ahearn Field House on Sept. 17.

Fritz's remarks were made in reference to a point replay in the third set, about which she was quoted saying, "Bad call.  Really bad call.  Really bad time."

The statements were in violation of the Big 12 Conference's Principles and Standards of Sportsmanship.

"The Conference's Sportsmanship Rules prohibit coaches from making critical public comments about officiating," Big 12 Commissioner Dan Beebe said.   "I appreciate the fact that Coach Fritz recognized her mistake and expressed her regret for the violation."

Nebraska defeated the Wildcats in four games.
