Luis Antonio Aguirre waived extradition in Austin, Texas, Wednesday, and will return to Riley County to face charges of first degree murder.

Aguirre is being charged with the death of Tanya Maldonado, 18, and Juan Maldonado, 15 months, both of Chicago. The two bodies were found Oct. 25 in a shallow grave near the 6300 block of 32nd St.

Riley County Police Department director Brad Schoen announced the identity of the victims as well as the suspect in a press conference, Monday morning.

Having waived extradition, Aguirre will be returned to the area, within the next 3-4 days, said Lt. Herb Crosby Jr.
