The tents are up, the goods are on display and fireworks are now on sale within the Manhattan city limits.

Inspectors with the city fire department inspected all 19 stands before vendors could begin selling fireworks at noon.

Ryan Almes, Manhattan fire marshal, said most of the stands were prepared when the inspectors arrived, and operators were waiting to get their permits to begin selling.
