My how the mighty have fallen.

About a year ago at this time, when Mark had just come home from Iraq, we went to a neighborhood Super Bowl party.

The game turned out be one of the most-watched ever, and the New York Giants beat the undefeated New England Patriots in what was considered one of the greatest Super Bowls in history.

This year's game is being called equally as good, or even better. We watched from our living room in Kansas as the Steelers beat the Cardinals in Tampa.

But this post isn't about football.

It's about s-e-x.

And life after war.

See, Mark missed the epic last half of 2008's Giants-Patriots Super Bowl. He missed it because we left the party to go home, put the kids to bed and have a little timeout of our own.

Who cared about the Super Bowl. We had been apart for most of the previous 15 months. All we wanted was each other.

This year during the game I asked him if he was interested in a repeat.

He wasn't.

Nope. No way. No how.

He wasn't leaving that TV for anything, not even rare school-night adult time.

And once again we have proof that our lives have returned to normal.

TGIF, people, TGIF. Have a great weekend!

Now, do you really feel like you're married? We live in the north....we have a marvelous device called a heated mattress pad. It's like we can't wait to get to bed.....so we can be cocooned in the warmth of the most wonderful thing ever. Now, do we go there to fool around? Oh hecky no....we want to get to the mattress pad.....

I enjoyed the Super Bowl this year. I spent the entire time on the phone with my guy friend watching the game and commercials together. Hopefully you and Mark were able to at least enjoy the game!

Well, it *was* a really good game. :-)

carolmac - you're welcome! ......... Trudy B. - Heated mattress pad? Oh my god, that would be pure heaven. Although I have to say electric blankets and things like that kind of freak me out. I'm always afraid I'm somehow going to get electrocuted in my sleep. Weird, I know ........ mwmxktty - Wow, that was a long conversation! And yes, we did enjoy the game although I wasn't watching it as closely as he was. I was interested mostly because it was in Tampa, and I was in and out of the room while it was on. I told Mark to call me for the commercials and half-time! ..... Bette - it was!
