Following her title at the USA Championship, Kansas State volunteer coach Diana Pickler finished 11th at the IAAF World Championship in Berlin in the heptathlon. Pickler scored a total of 6,086 points to her finish.

Pickler tallied her most points in the 100 meter hurdles to open the competition at 13.50 seconds scoring 1,050 points, placing her in fourth following the event. Pickler also scored big in the high jump, 200 meters and long jump with at least 900 points in each discipline. She was just off her personal best mark of 6,290, which Pickler scored at the USA Championship this summer.

The IAAF World Championship will remain in action this week with K-State assistant coach Steve Fritz helping represent the Wildcats as well as an assistant coach for Team USA. Current K-State student-athlete Moritz Cleve will also compete at the championships in the decathlon after receiving an invitation from the German Federation to compete for his native Germany at the event. The two-day decathlon begins Wednesday.
