"I think this was the best team effort we've had so far this season on the women's side,'' said coach Michael Smith. "We're gaining the experience we need to have for the Big 12 meet."
The men's team was paced by sophomore Colin Swaney who turned in his fastest 8K time of the season (26:21), and a 44th-place finish.
Following Swaney was fellow sophomore Alex Umberger, who turned in a 67th-place showing and a time of 26:46.
The Wildcats will take a week off in preparation for the Chile Pepper Invitational on Oct. 14 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
