Darren Sproles rushed for 38 yards on five attempts and added 84 yards on kick and punt returns as the San Diego Chargers defeated the Oakland Raiders 24-16 Sunday at San Diego.

The former Kansas State star also grabbed one reception for eight yards in the victory.

In Dallas, Terrance Newman had seven tackles and two pass breakups as the Cowboys cruised past Seattle 38-17.

Former K-State linebacker Zac Diles had three tackles as the Houston Texans defeated Buffalo 31-10.

Darren Howard, who played defensive end at K-State from 1996-99, was held to just one tackle Sunday in Philadelphia's 40-17 win over the New York Giants.
