K-State to Visit Hoosier Classic

Kansas State women's tennis will travel to Bloomington, Ind., this weekend to play in the Hoosier Classic on Friday through Sunday. The Wildcats will bring its full lineup to compete against Indiana, LSU, Memphis and Mississippi State.

Last weekend at the WSU Fall Classic, the Wildcats registered a 3-9 record in singles and a 3-3 mark in doubles play. Junior Antea Huljev tallied a pair of singles wins, while freshman Maryna Chumak won her K-State debut. The pairing of Huljev and sophomore Nina Sertic registered a 2-1 mark in doubles play and will be paired together again this weekend.

Other doubles tandems for the Wildcats this weekend are: freshmen Karla Bonacic and Chumak, sophomore Petra Chuda and freshman Carmen Borau Ramos and rounding out the doubles teams are senior Natasha Vieira and freshman Ana Gomez Aleman. This weekend three freshmen will make their debuts in purple: Bonacic, Borau Ramos and Gomez Aleman.

Following the Hoosier Classic this weekend, the Wildcats will be travel Fayetteville, Ark., to compete in the Arkansas Invitational, Oct. 2-4.
