Local health officials say Obama's declaration on flu may streamline access

A declaration by President Barack Obama over the weekend that made the H1N1 flu outbreak a national emergency could make it easier for hospitals to treat flu patients by bypassing some current guidelines, a local health official said this morning. Among the options: letting hospitals establish off-site treatment facilities for flu patients.
